About the EZ2250i
The EZ2250i is Godex's industrial thermal transfer printer, at 203dpi with a 104mm print width; the EZ2350i is the 300dpi version. Godex's desktops, the G500, G530 and RT700i, stop at 300m rolls with a roll diameter of up to 68mm. The EZ2250i takes 450m rolls with a roll diameter of up to 76mm, on a 1-inch core, which means fewer changeovers than on those desktops. Ribbon width runs from 30mm to 110mm. It is also the only Godex model we found whose documents state the winding: Godex lists auto ink inside and ink outside, describes automatic self adjustment for ribbon coated inside or outside, and its manual shows a loading route for each. Order whichever winding your stock uses; no setting change is mentioned. Because winding is not a constraint here, the label alone sets the grade, from wax (CW-11, CW-12) on paper, through wax-resin on coated paper, to the resin CW-28 on polyester, polypropylene, polyimide and film.

Ribbon specification
110mm × 450m is the standard size for this model. Because we slit in-house you are not restricted to it — if your label is 60mm, order a ribbon a few millimetres wider rather than paying for 110mm and wasting the overhang.
Which grade for a EZ2250i
The printer does not decide the grade — the label material and the conditions it has to survive do. The EZ2250i runs all three families.

Godex printers are generally compatible with standard ribbon sizes. Winding varies by model — the EZ2250i accepts both; for desktop models, check your current roll or send us your model number. For wide-format Godex models (RT700iW), confirm maximum ribbon width before ordering.

Which ribbon grade should I use in a EZ2250i?+
Grade follows the label, not the printer. Industrial units like the EZ2250i usually run mixed media, so most sites keep a wax for paper and a wax-resin or resin for synthetics rather than compromising on one grade for both.
