About the PC43t
The Honeywell PC43t is the thermal transfer model in Honeywell's PC series of compact desktop printers. The PC43d and PC23d beside it are direct thermal and take no ribbon. Honeywell's data sheet lists two ribbon rolls for the PC43t: 91m on a ½-inch core, or 300m on a 1-inch core. The 300m roll is more than three times as long, so it means far fewer reloads on the same labels. Ribbon width runs up to 110mm. The PC43t prints at 203 or 300dpi, with a print width of 104mm or 106mm. Honeywell's data sheet does not state which side of the ribbon is inked, so check the roll in the printer now, or send us the model and a photo, and we confirm the winding before dispatch. Wax suits paper labels; polyester and polypropylene labels need wax-resin or resin.

Also takes 91m rolls on a ½-inch core. Honeywell's data sheet does not state which side of the ribbon is inked.
110mm × 300m is the standard size for this model. Because we slit in-house you are not restricted to it — if your label is 60mm, order a ribbon a few millimetres wider rather than paying for 110mm and wasting the overhang.
Which grade for a PC43t
The printer does not decide the grade — the label material and the conditions it has to survive do.
General industrial labels (Honeywell PC42t, PC43t)
Pharma and compliance labels (Honeywell PM45)
Durable synthetic labels (Honeywell PX940)
High-volume economy paper printing (Honeywell PC42t)

Loading ribbon in a Honeywell printer
Honeywell printers typically accept standard ribbon sizes. The PC42t takes outside-wound ribbon only; the PM42, PM43 and PX940 accept both. Most use a 1-inch core; some compact PC42t Plus versions use ½-inch. Confirm with your printer manual or contact us.
Honeywell PC43t ribbon — common questions
What ribbon size does the Honeywell PC43t use?+
110mm × 300m on a 1" core. At 300m a roll covers roughly 3,000 labels at 100mm pitch. We slit 25mm – 160mm, so a non-standard width for your label is not a problem.
Is the PC43t inside or outside wound?+
Honeywell's documents for the PC43t do not state the winding, so check your current roll: scratch the outer surface with a fingernail — if it marks, the roll is outside wound. We make both and will match your roll.
Which ribbon grade should I use in a PC43t?+
Grade follows the label, not the printer. Desktop units like the PC43t are most often paired with paper stock, where wax (CW-11 or CW-12) is the right grade. Move to wax-resin only if the label is coated or synthetic.
Can I get a free sample for my PC43t?+
Yes. We manufacture in Badli, New Delhi and send samples so you can print on your own PC43t with your own label stock before ordering volume. Wash-care and resin grades in particular are worth testing rather than taking on spec.
Need a size the PC43t does not take as standard? We slit 25mm – 160mm.
