About the TC200
The TC200 and TC210 are TSC's 203dpi desktop printers, with a 108mm print width. The TC300 and TC310 are the 300dpi pair, at 105.6mm. TSC lists one ribbon for all four: 110m long, with a roll diameter of up to 40mm, on a ½-inch core, ink coated outside. That is the short roll. TSC's TE and TX desktops can take 300m on a 1-inch core, so a TC needs roughly three times as many ribbon changes for the same labels, and TSC specifies no 1-inch roll here. Ribbon width runs from 40mm to 110mm, within our 25–160mm slitting range, and 40mm is the narrowest width TSC lists. Speed follows resolution: TSC rates the 203dpi models at 6 inches a second and the 300dpi models at 4. The TC210 and TC310 add a colour display and more memory but take the same ribbon. Plain paper labels stay on wax (CW-11, CW-12). Polyester labels take wax-resin CW-20, CW-22, CW-25 or CW-30, or resin CW-28.

Ribbon specification
110mm × 110m is the standard size for this model. Because we slit in-house you are not restricted to it — if your label is 60mm, order a ribbon a few millimetres wider rather than paying for 110mm and wasting the overhang.
Which grade for a TC200
The printer does not decide the grade — the label material and the conditions it has to survive do.
High-volume paper label printing (TSC TE210, TE310)
General-purpose coated paper labels (TSC TTP-244 Pro)
Harsh environment labels (TSC TTP-2610MT)
Maximum-durability synthetic labels (TSC MH240, MH340)

Loading ribbon in a TSC printer
TSC desktops (TE, TC, TX, TTP-244 Pro, TTP-247, TTP-345) take outside-wound ribbon (ink side out); the industrial MH, ML, MB, MX and TTP-2410M models accept both. Core size: ½ inch for the TC series; 1 inch for the TTP-244 Pro, TTP-247, TTP-345, TX and all industrial models; the TE series takes either (300m on 1 inch, or 110m on ½ inch).
TSC TC200 / TC210 / TC300 / TC310 ribbon — common questions
What ribbon size does the TSC TC200 / TC210 / TC300 / TC310 use?+
110mm × 110m on a ½" core, outside wound (ink side out). At 110m a roll covers roughly 1,100 labels at 100mm pitch. We slit 25mm – 160mm, so a non-standard width for your label is not a problem.
Is the TC200 inside or outside wound?+
Outside wound — the ink side faces out. Load an inside-wound roll instead and the ink faces away from the label, so the label comes out blank; that reads as a printer fault but is a winding problem.
Which ribbon grade should I use in a TC200?+
Grade follows the label, not the printer. Desktop units like the TC200 are most often paired with paper stock, where wax (CW-11 or CW-12) is the right grade. Move to wax-resin only if the label is coated or synthetic.
Can I get a free sample for my TC200?+
Yes. We manufacture in Badli, New Delhi and send samples so you can print on your own TC200 with your own label stock before ordering volume. Wash-care and resin grades in particular are worth testing rather than taking on spec.
Need a size the TC200 does not take as standard? We slit 25mm – 160mm.
