TSC TTP-244CE ribbon — size, core and grade
The TSC TTP-244CE takes 110mm × 110m ribbon on a ½" core, outside wound (ink side out).
Codewell Image manufactures that ribbon in Badli, New Delhi — wax, wax-resin and resin grades, slit to your label width, with a free sample before you order.
About the TTP-244CE
The TTP-244CE is a TSC desktop printer at 203dpi with a 108mm print width, in Basic and Advanced versions that take the same ribbon. TSC's datasheet lists one roll: 110m long, with a roll diameter of up to 40mm, on a ½-inch core, coated outside. That is not the roll the TTP-244 Pro takes, which is 300m on a 1-inch core, so the two printers need different ribbons and the core is the first thing to check before you order. Ribbon width runs from 40mm to 110mm, within our 25–160mm slitting range, and 40mm is the narrowest width TSC specifies. The TTP-244CE can also print on direct thermal labels, which use no ribbon. For paper labels wax suits (CW-11, CW-12). Polyester and polypropylene labels need wax-resin or resin, not wax.

Ribbon specification
110mm × 110m is the standard size for this model. Because we slit in-house you are not restricted to it — if your label is 60mm, order a ribbon a few millimetres wider rather than paying for 110mm and wasting the overhang.
Which grade for a TTP-244CE
The printer does not decide the grade — the label material and the conditions it has to survive do.
High-volume paper label printing (TSC TE210, TE310)
General-purpose coated paper labels (TSC TTP-244 Pro)
Harsh environment labels (TSC TTP-2610MT)
Maximum-durability synthetic labels (TSC MH240, MH340)

Loading ribbon in a TSC printer
TSC desktops (TE, TC, TX, TTP-244 Pro, TTP-247, TTP-345) take outside-wound ribbon (ink side out); the industrial MH, ML, MB, MX and TTP-2410M models accept both. Core size: ½ inch for the TC series; 1 inch for the TTP-244 Pro, TTP-247, TTP-345, TX and all industrial models; the TE series takes either (300m on 1 inch, or 110m on ½ inch).
TSC TTP-244CE ribbon — common questions
What ribbon size does the TSC TTP-244CE use?+
110mm × 110m on a ½" core, outside wound (ink side out). At 110m a roll covers roughly 1,100 labels at 100mm pitch. We slit 25mm – 160mm, so a non-standard width for your label is not a problem.
Is the TTP-244CE inside or outside wound?+
Outside wound — the ink side faces out. Load an inside-wound roll instead and the ink faces away from the label, so the label comes out blank; that reads as a printer fault but is a winding problem.
Which ribbon grade should I use in a TTP-244CE?+
Grade follows the label, not the printer. Desktop units like the TTP-244CE are most often paired with paper stock, where wax (CW-11 or CW-12) is the right grade. Move to wax-resin only if the label is coated or synthetic.
Can I get a free sample for my TTP-244CE?+
Yes. We manufacture in Badli, New Delhi and send samples so you can print on your own TTP-244CE with your own label stock before ordering volume. Wash-care and resin grades in particular are worth testing rather than taking on spec.
Need a size the TTP-244CE does not take as standard? We slit 25mm – 160mm.
