TSC TE300 / TE310ribbon size & type
Everything you need to order the right ribbon for a TSC TE300 / TE310: the size it takes, the core and winding, and which grade suits your label material.
About the TE300
The TE310 is TSC's 300dpi desktop and among the most-sold thermal transfer printers to Indian SMEs, largely on price. It takes 110mm x 300m on a 1-inch core — four times the roll length of the equivalent Zebra desktop, a genuine operating-cost advantage and a common reason buyers switch. At 300dpi the heat elements are smaller, so a coarse wax that looked fine on a 203dpi machine can print grainy here.
Ribbon specification
110mm × 300m is the standard size for this model. Because we slit in-house you are not restricted to it — if your label is 60mm, order a 60mm ribbon rather than paying for 110mm and wasting the overhang.
Which grade for a TE300
The printer does not decide the grade — the label material and the conditions it has to survive do. The TE300 runs all three families.
High-volume paper label printing (TSC TE210, TE310)
General-purpose coated paper labels (TSC TTP-244 Pro)
Harsh environment labels (TSC TTP-2610MT)
Maximum-durability synthetic labels (TSC MH240, MH340)

Loading ribbon in a TSC printer
TSC printers typically require inside wound ribbon. Core size: 1 inch for industrial models, ½ inch for compact desktop models. All CW-series ribbons are tested on TSC printers before release.
TSC TE300 / TE310 ribbon — common questions
What ribbon size does the TSC TE300 / TE310 use?+
110mm × 300m on a 1" core, inside wound. At 300m a roll covers roughly 3,000 labels at 100mm pitch. We slit 25mm – 160mm, so a non-standard width for your label is not a problem.
Is the TE300 inside or outside wound?+
Inside wound. Load the opposite winding and the ink faces away from the label, so the page comes out blank — it reads as a printer fault but is a ribbon orientation problem.
Which ribbon grade should I use in a TE300?+
Grade follows the label, not the printer. Desktop units like the TE300 are most often paired with paper stock, where wax (CW-11 or CW-12) is correct and cheapest. Move to wax-resin only if the label is coated or synthetic.
Can I get a free sample for my TE300?+
Yes. We manufacture in Badli, New Delhi and send samples so you can print on your own TE300 with your own label stock before ordering volume. Wash-care and resin grades in particular are worth testing rather than taking on spec.
Need a size the TE300 does not take as standard? We slit 25mm – 160mm.
