TSC TTP-244 Proribbon size & type
Everything you need to order the right ribbon for a TSC TTP-244 Pro: the size it takes, the core and winding, and which grade suits your label material.
About the TTP-244 Pro
The TTP-244 Pro is one of the longest-serving barcode printers in the Indian market and still widely deployed. It takes 110mm x 300m on a 1-inch core. Its age is the relevant fact for ribbon choice: printheads on units running for years are often partially worn, and a harder resin ribbon on a tired printhead exposes failed elements as vertical white lines. On older TTP-244s a premium wax such as CW-12 frequently prints better than a resin.
Ribbon specification
110mm × 300m is the standard size for this model. Because we slit in-house you are not restricted to it — if your label is 60mm, order a 60mm ribbon rather than paying for 110mm and wasting the overhang.
Which grade for a TTP-244 Pro
The printer does not decide the grade — the label material and the conditions it has to survive do. The TTP-244 Pro runs all three families.
High-volume paper label printing (TSC TE210, TE310)
General-purpose coated paper labels (TSC TTP-244 Pro)
Harsh environment labels (TSC TTP-2610MT)
Maximum-durability synthetic labels (TSC MH240, MH340)

Loading ribbon in a TSC printer
TSC printers typically require inside wound ribbon. Core size: 1 inch for industrial models, ½ inch for compact desktop models. All CW-series ribbons are tested on TSC printers before release.
TSC TTP-244 Pro ribbon — common questions
What ribbon size does the TSC TTP-244 Pro use?+
110mm × 300m on a 1" core, inside wound. At 300m a roll covers roughly 3,000 labels at 100mm pitch. We slit 25mm – 160mm, so a non-standard width for your label is not a problem.
Is the TTP-244 Pro inside or outside wound?+
Inside wound. Load the opposite winding and the ink faces away from the label, so the page comes out blank — it reads as a printer fault but is a ribbon orientation problem.
Which ribbon grade should I use in a TTP-244 Pro?+
Grade follows the label, not the printer. Desktop units like the TTP-244 Pro are most often paired with paper stock, where wax (CW-11 or CW-12) is correct and cheapest. Move to wax-resin only if the label is coated or synthetic.
Can I get a free sample for my TTP-244 Pro?+
Yes. We manufacture in Badli, New Delhi and send samples so you can print on your own TTP-244 Pro with your own label stock before ordering volume. Wash-care and resin grades in particular are worth testing rather than taking on spec.
